The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed strong condemnation over what it calls "riots, acts of vandalism, and assaults" that occurred outside its diplomatic mission and the residence of its head of mission in Damascus on Saturday.
In response to these incidents, the UAE has called on the Syrian government to uphold its international responsibilities by ensuring the security of the UAE embassy, safeguarding its personnel, launching an investigation into the events, and taking measures to prevent any recurrence, according to a statement released by the UAE's foreign ministry.
