In a tense incident on Wednesday, right-wing activists intercepted three container trucks in Maharashtra's Jalna district, alleging that they were carrying beef under the guise of buffalo meat.
The trucks, carrying approximately 120 tonnes of meat reportedly meant for export, were stopped while traveling from Parbhani to Mumbai. The containers displaying the insignia of LS Frozen Foods, Visakhapatnam, and Arabic labeling, drew further suspicion.
Local police detained the drivers for questioning and dispatched meat samples for laboratory testing. Inspector Balasaheb Pawar of Chandanjhira police station stated, "We will take appropriate action after receiving the lab report."
