Last financial year witnessed the generation of 1.9 crore digital life certificates by pensioners, as informed to the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. The submission of life certificates is mandatory for pension payment continuity.
To aid elderly, super senior, and differently-abled pensioners, nationwide digital life certificate (DLC) campaigns occur in November annually from 2022. These campaigns host camps across various locations, says Union Minister Jitendra Singh.
With a total of 1.90 crore DLCs generated between April 2025 and March 2026, over 1.15 crore utilized the new face authentication technique. Additionally, pension adalats on the CPENGRAMS portal are effectively resolving pension grievances, ensuring efficient service delivery for pensioners.
