The Northern Command's top officer, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, visited Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday to acknowledge the professional conduct of the stationed troops.
In a year-long campaign, the Army successfully neutralized seven terrorists from Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed, significantly disrupting the group's operations in the high-altitude region.
Lt Gen Sharma's visit included strategic discussions with field commanders, where he praised the personnel's unwavering efforts, stressing the need for continued cooperation with sister security agencies to maintain regional peace.
