Purity in a Glass: Transforming Rural India's Water Crisis

On World Water Day, renowned actor and social advocate Bhumi Pednekar paid a visit to a Community Pure Water (CPW) purification centre in Telangana's Kolkulapalli Village, underscoring the critical need for accessible safe drinking water in rural India. The visit illuminated efforts to combat India's water crisis exacerbated by climate change, pollution, and over-extraction.

Pednekar engaged with villagers, particularly women and children, to witness firsthand the transformative impact access to purified water has on health and daily life. The Community Pure Water initiative, with over 600 purification centres nationwide, has become a beacon of hope, offering reliable, affordable, and high-quality drinking water to over 1.5 million residents daily.
