In a dramatic turn of events, former Punjab minister and AAP MLA Laljit Singh Bhullar was taken into custody for alleged involvement in the tragic suicide of a state warehousing corporation official. Sources revealed that Bhullar, facing serious allegations, was apprehended on Monday.
The incident revolves around the unfortunate death of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, the district manager of Punjab State Warehousing Corporation in Amritsar, who purportedly consumed poison last Saturday. A viral video has surfaced, accusing Bhullar of harassment, which led to Randhawa's drastic step.
Amid mounting pressure from Randhawa's family and opposition parties, Bhullar resigned as minister. The police have charged Bhullar and two of his associates under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), as Randhawa's family issued a 24-hour ultimatum to the Punjab government demanding the former minister's immediate arrest.
