Anil Ambani, the renowned industrialist, spent nearly eight hours at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters in New Delhi, being questioned over a significant Rs 2,929-crore cheating case, officials revealed.
The allegations, filed by the State Bank of India, concern Reliance Communications Ltd and involve multiple accusations of fraud, conspiracy, and financial irregularities. Ambani is summoned again for further queries the next day, as the probe deepens.
Despite the severe allegations, Ambani's spokesperson maintains his innocence, stating the businessman is fully cooperating with the investigation as the issue is pending legal review in various judicial forums.
