The FBI has announced an increase in reward money to USD one million for tips leading to the capture of fugitives listed on the bureau's Ten Most Wanted list. Among those included is Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, an Indian national accused of murder, and he remains on the run.
In a recent press conference, FBI Assistant Director Heith R Janke highlighted the addition of three new names to the list, one of whom was apprehended shortly after the announcement. Patel, who allegedly killed his wife in 2015 in Maryland, was last seen in New Jersey and is considered armed and dangerous.
Significantly, the FBI's latest list features its first cyber criminal fugitive, Anibal Aguirre, wanted for leading an international ATM jackpotting scheme. Janke emphasized the program's efficacy, with a 93% success rate in locating fugitives due to public and international cooperation, and underscored the global media's role in these efforts.
