Attorney General Pam Bondi Subpoenaed in Epstein Probe
The U.S. congressional committee has subpoenaed Attorney General Pam Bondi to testify in a closed-door session concerning Jeffrey Epstein. The investigation probes the alleged withholding of documents by the Justice Department. Bondi's deposition is scheduled for April 14.
The U.S. congressional committee has summoned Attorney General Pam Bondi to provide testimony in the ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's criminal activities. Bondi is expected to testify under oath before the House of Representatives Oversight Committee on April 14, according to a subpoena issued on Tuesday.
The Justice Department has not yet commented on the subpoena. The committee seeks clarification on accusations that the Department has withheld essential documents related to Epstein. Bondi, along with her deputy Todd Blanche, is also scheduled to brief the committee privately.
Jeffrey Epstein, who had connections with influential political and business figures, died in jail while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges. His death was classified as a suicide, however, questions regarding document transparency remain critical to the investigation's progress.
