Demolitions in Budaun: Seeking Justice in HPCL Officials' Murder Case

The district administration in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, has taken decisive action by demolishing shops belonging to the main suspect in a murder case involving two senior HPCL officials. These shops were reportedly built on government land, leading to their removal.

This swift action follows the tragic murder of Harshit Mishra and Sudhir Kumar Gupta, high-ranking officials at an HPCL plant. The alleged perpetrator, Ajay Pratap Singh, is accused of committing the crime after being terminated from his role as a vendor. The situation has raised demands from the victims' families for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe.

District officials emphasized that notices were earlier served to the accused for illegal structures, but compliance was not forthcoming. Authorities remain steadfast in their promise to continue taking action against any further illegal encroachments and are coordinating with relevant departments to address unlawful electricity use by the accused's family.
