Protests Ignite Over LPG Shortage Amid Rising Costs

In a show of discontent, Jharkhand legislators from the JMM, Congress, and RJD staged a protest outside the assembly on Friday, calling attention to a pressing national issue – the shortage of LPG cylinders.

Holding banners accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and central government policies, the protesters voiced concerns over the rising difficulties the public faces amidst the ongoing West Asia conflict. Placards at the demonstration underscored frustrations with government leadership and the escalating crisis.

Congress MLA Deepika Pandey Singh criticized the central government's policies, attributing the rising gas cylinder prices and unavailability directly to their impact. Meanwhile, JMM MLA Mangal Kalindi highlighted the severe burden on families, many of whom are now shifting to alternative cooking methods due to unrelenting inflation and shortages.
