UK Court Dismisses Appeal in Terrorism Charge Against Rapper

British prosecutors faced a setback on Wednesday as the court dismissed their appeal to reinstate terrorism charges against Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh from the Irish rap group Kneecap. The charges stemmed from a 2024 incident where he allegedly displayed the Hezbollah flag at a London concert.
The original charges were nullified in September after a court determined they were filed without necessary authorization from the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Attorney General. The case was also dismissed due to filing beyond the six-month statutory limit.
The Crown Prosecution Service sought to overturn this decision, but London's High Court upheld the initial ruling, rejecting the appeal and maintaining the dismissal of charges.
