Unreported Casualties: U.S. Troop Injuries in Iran Conflict
Approximately 150 U.S. troops have been wounded in the recent conflict with Iran, a figure not previously disclosed. The Pentagon reported eight serious injuries and estimated 140 minor wounds during Operation Epic Fury. Currently, 108 have returned to duty, with others receiving top medical care.
The ongoing conflict with Iran has reportedly resulted in injuries to about 150 U.S. troops, a figure that only came to light through a Reuters report. Initially, the Pentagon had acknowledged only eight serious injuries.
Following the publication of the casualty figures, the Pentagon revised its data, estimating 140 wounded, primarily minor injuries. Sean Parnell, the Pentagon's chief spokesperson, confirmed the statistics and provided further details.
Parnell disclosed that 108 of the injured service members have since returned to duty. The eight individuals deemed seriously injured are under the highest level of medical care available.
