In a dramatic turn of events, a 20-year-old man who had been kidnapped was safely rescued on Monday following a brief police encounter that resulted in the arrest of four suspects, including two juveniles.
The kidnapping gang had allegedly demanded a ransom of Rs 2 lakh from the victim's family. Remarkably, one suspect, Rajat Rai, managed to evade capture and is currently at large as police continue their manhunt.
The abduction unfolded on Saturday night when Raj Pathak was returning home on a motorcycle with friends. A red Thar, driven by Arun Yadav, rammed into them, leading to Pathak's kidnapping. The police successfully intercepted the suspects on Paramedical Road after a tactical operation, recovering the vehicle and an illegal firearm.
