A horrifying incident unfolded in Mohan Garden when a 5-year-old child was found murdered, leading to the arrest of his 22-year-old cousin, Ravi Kumar, on Saturday. Police officials revealed that Kumar allegedly killed the child in an act of revenge against the boy's mother due to familial disputes.
The incident came to light following a PCR call on March 5 reporting the discovery of the child's body with severe neck injuries in an under-construction building near the family's home. The child's father, Pachu Mahto, initially suspected his wife, who had left home due to ongoing disputes.
However, police investigations, including CCTV analysis and witness interviews, pointed towards Kumar. He confessed to committing the crime after consuming alcohol and attempting to cover it up by claiming to find the body later. The investigation is ongoing, and the murder weapon has been recovered.
