The Delhi Police's Special Cell achieved a significant breakthrough with the arrest of notorious sharpshooter Bobby Kabootar, who has been evading capture for nearly a decade. He was apprehended alongside a woman allegedly involved with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, near the Mahipalpur flyover. Their arrest marks a critical turn in multiple high-profile murder investigations.
The covert operation was executed after police received vital intelligence about the duo's movements. The suspects were intercepted in an SUV around midnight, allegedly carrying firearms and narcotics. The woman, who projects herself as a makeup artist and runs a beauty salon, is under scrutiny for her potential role in the gang's operations and drug networks.
Kabootar stands accused in several murder cases, notably the December 2025 double homicide of two brothers in Jafrabad, northeast Delhi, as well as the high-profile killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. These crimes were allegedly orchestrated by the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi, with Kabootar believed to have provided crucial support. The investigation continues as law enforcement seeks to dismantle the syndicate's operations fully.
