Kerala BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar has once again demanded a CBI investigation into the alleged misappropriation of gold from the Sabarimala temple, claiming that the Kerala SIT has been ineffective. He argues that the complex, multi-jurisdictional nature of the crime necessitates involvement from the central agency.
Speaking to reporters in Delhi, Chandrasekhar reiterated his previous request to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to call for the probe. He stressed that if the CM is earnest about uncovering the culprits, he should utilize the competent resources of the CBI.
The BJP leader further noted a recent court opinion which suggested no prima facie case against Sabarimala tantri, Kandararu Rajeevaru, and emphasized the CM's responsibility in ensuring justice by bringing the true perpetrators to light.
