Customs Crackdown: Major Seizure of Hydroponic Weed at Mumbai Airport
Mumbai Customs seized 24 kg of hydroponic weed valued at Rs 24.3 crore and arrested six individuals at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The individuals arrived from Bangkok, and the seizures were made using profiling and intelligence, with additional gold worth Rs 1.85 crore also seized.

In a significant operation, Mumbai Customs intercepted 24 kg of hydroponic weed, valued at Rs 24.3 crore, at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
Over a series of busts, six individuals were apprehended, all arriving from Bangkok. Operations involved spot profiling and the Advanced Passenger Information System, which accounted for 9.5 kg of the narcotic haul.
Gold smuggling was also detected, with 1.3 kg of gold valued at Rs 1.85 crore seized from three passengers. The contraband was skillfully concealed in clothing and luggage.
