The Rajasthan High Court's Jaipur bench was evacuated on Thursday due to a bomb threat email, leading to a comprehensive search by authorities. Despite the scare, no suspicious objects were found within the premises, police spokespersons confirmed.
The incident coincides with the anticipated visit of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant to inaugurate a seminar in Jaipur this Friday. The anonymous email was sent to the court's administration, alerting senior police officials who immediately deployed dog squads and bomb disposal units to inspect the high court building.
This security breach briefly interrupted court proceedings. Officials revealed that the high court has previously received similar threats alongside various schools and colleges. These threats, however, were assessed to be false alarms.
