In a bold vision for economic transformation, Meghalaya Governor C H Vijayashankar declared plans on Monday to triple the state's economy by 2032, during his address at the assembly’s budget session.
The promise of infrastructure growth, improved governance, and sustainable development reflects the second fastest-growing state in India's resurgence post-COVID-19 with a growth rate of 9.66% in GSDP.
Highlighting a roadmap to position Meghalaya among the national top 10 in per capita income and developmental goals, Vijayashankar underscores the progress in infrastructure projects, private investments, social services, and educational spending.
