A 35-year-old man was detained Sunday night after a scuffle with police at Gorakhnath temple, causing brief chaos. The security check incident occurred around 8.30 pm at the temple's southern gate.
The man, identified as Radheshyam Rajbhar from Ballia district, reportedly lost his temper during routine frisking and argued with officers, escalating tensions. This attracted a crowd of devotees and visitors attending the temple fair.
Police subdued Rajbhar, taking him to Gorakhnath police station. SP Santosh Kumar Singh said Rajbhar's frustration stemmed from a previously seized passport, suggesting possible mental disturbance. Further investigation continues.
