In a shocking incident that has sent ripples of concern through Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha district, a man allegedly raped his 10-year-old niece. The disturbing event took place in a village under the Ganjbasoda police station limits.
The crime occurred while the victim's parents were away; her father was undergoing medical treatment in Bhopal. The assault unfolded on Tuesday night, as the victim's Sub-Divisional Officer of Police, Shikha Bhalvi, confirmed.
Amid the horrifying ordeal, the child managed to call out to her 12-year-old brother, who sought help from neighbors. Police have since registered a case against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, initiating a manhunt for the suspect.
