Five individuals connected to the shooting at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's residence have been remanded to police custody until February 11, following a court decision on Thursday. The accused are believed to have been acting on instructions from Shubham Lonkar, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, a wanted figure in this and other cases.
Arrested individuals include Aditya Gayaki, Siddharth Yenpure, Samarth Pomaji, Swapnil Sakat, and Asaram Fasale. Evidence recovered includes a pistol, three magazines, and an air gun. The court acknowledged the serious nature of the crime, providing law enforcement the time needed for a thorough investigation.
The incident involved at least five shots fired at Shetty's building in Juhu, one of which hit a gym window. Links have surfaced between the accused and Lonkar, already implicated in high-profile criminal activities, including previous shootings involving notable figures.
