Hoax Call Lands Beed Resident in Judicial Custody

In a striking incident, a court in Maharashtra's Beed district has remanded a man to judicial custody after he made a hoax call to the police. The individual, identified as Pradosh Gangadhar Jadhav, allegedly reported a fictitious theft of gold and silver.

Jadhav, a resident of Kumbharwadi in Georai tehsil, called the police on their emergency number, claiming a robbery took place at a trading company in Madalmohi. Police officers promptly responded, only to discover the report was false.

When questioned, Jadhav arrogantly confessed to making the call for fun and threatened the officers. Consequently, a case was filed against him, resulting in his arrest and subsequent remand in judicial custody until February 9 by the local court.
