In Hathauj village, a skirmish erupted during an anti-encroachment operation, severely injuring eight individuals, including five police officers. Villagers hurled stones at a joint police and revenue department team tasked with clearing illegal structures near a pond embankment, as ordered by the Allahabad High Court.

Additional Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Shukla stated that the operation was led by the sub-divisional magistrate and involved revenue officials and local police. The team's attempt to enforce the High Court's decree met with sudden violence from locals reportedly incited by unnamed agitators.

According to Station House Officer Mithilesh Kumar, the incident resulted in hospitalizations for the injured personnel. Legal action has been initiated, and seven arrests have occurred thus far. The police continue to search for other individuals connected to the attack.
