Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh on Tuesday dismissed the Aam Aadmi Party's allegations of garbage dumping in the Kirari area, calling them misleading. He clarified that it was processed inert soil, not waste from the Bhalswa landfill, being used for land levelling and filling low-lying areas.

Singh stated during a press conference that this processed inert soil, previously used by the National Highways Authority of India, is now being utilized by a concessionaire with permissions from the Delhi Development Authority. He accused the AAP of spreading misinformation, suggesting that it was an attempt to divert attention from developmental shortcomings in the constituency.

Singh pointed to issues like broken roads and lack of basic amenities in Kirari, attributed to AAP's alleged negligence. The mayor plans to visit Kirari personally to confront these claims, while party leaders Satya Sharma and Pravesh Wahi intend to inspect the area to assess the situation directly.
