Hyderabad Police Crackdown on Anti-Social Activities and Driver Misconduct

Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar issued a stern warning to companies involved in transport, telecommunications, and internet services, emphasizing strict legal consequences for facilitating anti-social activities such as narcotics transport.

In a high-level coordination meeting, Sajjanar urged entities to establish responsive units within their organizations to ensure swift cooperation with law enforcement. He highlighted the importance of public safety over profits, pressing companies to implement robust surveillance to curb the misuse of e-commerce and courier services for illegal activities.

Addressing reports of cab and bike taxi drivers misbehaving with female passengers, Sajjanar called for continuous driver supervision and firm disciplinary actions against misconduct, ensuring that service providers maintain a responsible and safe environment.
