Rajasthan's Most-Wanted Drug Kingpin Nabbed in Kolkata

In a significant law enforcement victory, Rajasthan Police's coordinated effort has led to the capture of Ramesh Kumar, one of their top ten most-wanted criminals. The arrest unfolded in Kolkata as part of an extensive joint operation by the Anti-Narcotics Task Force and Anti-Terrorism Squad.

Thirty-one-year-old Kumar, a native of Barmer, had successfully evaded arrest for almost eight years. With a bounty of Rs 1 lakh on his head, he orchestrated a widespread illegal manufacturing and distribution network for the synthetic drug MD across several Indian states, commanding market prices far above production costs.

His apprehension came after diligent surveillance and intelligence coordination focused on his movements between Kolkata and Pune. Disguised as a chemistry teacher and trader, his detainment is poised to reveal further insights into an extensive drug trafficking ring, according to IG Vikas Kumar of the ANTF and ATS.
