A tribunal in Delhi has ruled in favor of a woman who endured significant injuries in a road accident, awarding her a sum of Rs 48.68 lakh.
Saraswati lost a leg after being struck by a tempo, leading the court to reject a lower offer from the vehicle's insurer, citing future artificial limb costs as a key factor.
The decision also accounted for her permanent 60% disability and the loss of future earnings. The tribunal instructed Bajaj Allianz General Insurance to pay the amount.
