BEIJING - For the first time in 18 years, a Spanish monarch will visit China as King Felipe VI arrives from November 10 to 13. Spain has actively pursued a closer economic relationship with China, even as the nation moves away from supporting EU tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. This strategic pivot was underscored by investments such as factories from Chinese battery maker CATL and renewable energy group Envision.
