Tragedy in Jodhpur: Compensation Announced for Accident Victims' Families
The Rajasthan government has announced a compensation package for families affected by a deadly road accident in Jodhpur, with Rs 10 lakh allocated for each victim's family. Community protests for further aid have concluded following the announcement. The accident involved a tempo that collided with a tanker, resulting in 15 deaths.

The Rajasthan government has pledged a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of those who perished in the Jodhpur road accident. This announcement aims to offer relief to the victims' families, as confirmed by Additional District Collector Anjum Tahir.
The tragic incident occurred when a tempo, returning from Bikaner's Kolayat temple, collided with a stationary tanker, claiming fifteen lives and injuring two others. The injured are receiving treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Jodhpur.
Protests seeking higher compensation and government jobs for victims' families were called off after the announcement. Senior Congress leader Karan Singh Uchiyara expressed sympathy for the community's grievances during a site visit.
