 Technical consultations concerning the Taiwan-U.S. trade talks have reached a significant milestone, with most aspects "largely finalised," according to Taiwan's delegation at the APEC summit in South Korea conducted on Friday.
The delegation disclosed that Taiwan's chief trade negotiator, Jenni Yang, held a crucial meeting with U.S. Deputy Trade Representative Rick Switzer on Thursday.
The discussions are part of broader efforts to reduce the 20% tariff currently imposed on Taiwanese exports to the United States, a central focus of ongoing negotiations.
