China chides G7 over critical minerals alliance

China urged the Group of Seven nations to uphold market economy principles and stop undermining the international trade order, responding to its plan for an alliance on production of critical minerals meant to counter Chinese dominance of the sector.
At a regular briefing on Thursday, foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun told reporters that China had standardised and improved its export control system, in line with international practices.
