Lithuania's Prime Minister, Inga Ruginiene, announced plans to down smuggler balloons crossing from Belarus as they pose a threat to Lithuanian airspace. This move comes amidst historical tensions, with Lithuania providing refuge to members of Belarus' exiled opposition.
Moreover, President Lukashenko addressed concerns about the Russian Oreshnik missile system's presence in Belarus, stating it is purely for security purposes and not a move to increase tensions with Europe. He emphasized that both Belarus and Russia are keen on avoiding escalation.
