The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has successfully dismantled a narcotics network that spanned the Delhi-NCR region, seizing drugs valued at approximately Rs 109 crore. The operation led to the arrest of 26 foreign nationals, marking a significant achievement in the fight against drug smuggling.
Over a meticulously planned operation from October 21 to 23, DRI officers confiscated 16.27 kg of amphetamine, 7.9 kg of cocaine, 1.8 kg of heroin, 2.13 kg of ganja, and 115.42 kg of precursor chemicals. The contraband's market value was estimated at Rs 108.81 crore, according to an official statement released on Friday.
This complex crackdown involved multiple jurisdictions and challenging conditions, underscoring DRI's commitment to intelligence-led enforcement and seamless inter-agency collaboration to address the menace of narcotics smuggling and synthetic drug manufacture.
