Erdogan Urges US to Enforce Israel's Compliance with Gaza Ceasefire
Turkish President Erdogan has called on the US to enforce Israel's adherence to the Gaza ceasefire, suggesting sanctions or a halt in arms sales. Despite Turkey's increased mediation role, Israeli PM Netanyahu opposes Turkish forces in Gaza, complicating negotiations. Erdogan urged Gulf nations to aid Gaza's reconstruction.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has called for the United States and other nations to take a stronger stance in ensuring Israel adheres to the Gaza ceasefire agreement. Erdogan proposed measures such as sanctions or halting arms sales to hold Israel accountable.
Turkey, a critic of Israel's actions in Gaza, has recently taken on an increased role in mediating the ceasefire following discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump. Although Turkey aims to contribute positively to the ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed opposition to Turkish forces being deployed in Gaza.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized the need for a security force composed of nations acceptable to Israel but avoided specifying Turkey's role. Erdogan maintains that Gulf countries must assist in Gaza's reconstruction efforts as tensions between Israel and Turkey linger.
