Devastating Fires Sweep Through Arunachal Pradesh: Shops and Homes Destroyed

In the northeast Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, devastating fires engulfed properties in the Tirap and Siang districts, leaving a trail of destruction. A fire in Khonsa market, believed to be sparked by Diwali firecrackers, completely gutted nine shops and partially damaged a dozen more.
Despite no casualties reported, the Tirap fire demanded the collective efforts of firefighters, police, and local volunteers to extinguish the flames. Concerns have been raised as shopkeepers failed to adhere to fire safety regulations, prompting district authorities to ensure relief and accountability.
On the same day, two houses in Siang's Koreng village were consumed by fire. Officials conducted site visits to assess damages and extend immediate assistance to affected families. The incidents highlight urgent calls for improved fire safety measures in the region.
