Tragic Clash: Basketball Fan Violence Shocks Italy

Three 'ultra' fans of an Italian basketball team, RSR Sebastiani Rieti, have been arrested after a bus carrying rival supporters was attacked with stones, leading to the death of bus co-driver Raffaele Marianella. The tragic incident occurred after a match against Pistoia Basket 2000.

The attack took place in central Italy when the bus was ambushed, causing a large stone to penetrate the windscreen, resulting in Marianella's death. Police traced and arrested the three suspects, who are now in custody.

This senseless act of violence has been condemned by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who labeled it as unacceptable. Authorities are taking the incident seriously as sports-related violence remains a significant concern.
