Four doctors and two nurses at a private hospital in Pune are facing serious allegations of medical negligence leading to the tragic death of an 11-month-old girl. The legal proceedings have commenced at Sahakarnagar police station under numerous sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Maharashtra Medical Practitioners Act.
The incident occurred last year on May 22 at Chinmay Hospital, located in the Navi Peth area. According to reports, an expert medical board discovered that improper treatment was administered to the young patient, who had been admitted due to vomiting, ultimately leading to her demise.
No arrests have been made thus far, but authorities confirm that investigations are actively underway. The case highlights the critical need for stringent adherence to medical protocols and patient care standards, especially in emergency situations.
