Hubei Cracks Down on Fentanyl Precursor Crimes

Authorities in China's Hubei province have taken decisive action against criminal activities related to precursor chemicals used in fentanyl production. The campaign resulted in handling 22 cases, according to the state agency Xinhua.

Launched in December, the operation is part of a directive from China's Ministry of Public Security. It aims to dismantle the entire supply chain involved in the illegal production, distribution, storage, and export of these precursor chemicals.

This crackdown reflects a broader effort by Chinese authorities to tackle the growing issue of illegal drug manufacturing and distribution, which has significant implications for global narcotics control.
