Karnataka's healthcare system faces severe challenges with Opposition leader R Ashoka highlighting significant issues about the Congress government's functioning. The suspension of essential services such as CT and MRI scans has drawn protests from patients and relatives, notably at Kolar and Yadgir district hospitals.
Protesters, including a woman at Kolar's hospital, expressed difficulties in receiving necessary scans without exorbitant fees. Ashoka shared a letter from Krsnaa Diagnostics Limited demanding the release of Rs 143.78 crore in pending dues, accentuating further healthcare disruptions.
The BJP leader urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for immediate action, including sacking Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, blaming cold administrative inaction for the ongoing crisis and questioning the government's commitment towards public health.
