The Mysterious Abduction of Nancy Guthrie: A Family's Ordeal
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was abducted from her Arizona home, with no direct contact from her captors and her family cleared as suspects. Despite conflicting reports and ransom notes, investigators presume she is alive, while her children plead for public help in the ongoing investigation.
The ongoing investigation into the abduction of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie continues, as Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed that her family has been ruled out as suspects. The mother of 'Today' show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie disappeared from her Arizona home over two weeks ago.
A crucial find in the case was a DNA sample from a glove located near Nancy Guthrie's residence, matching those seen worn by a prowler caught on doorbell camera footage. The elderly Guthrie, with limited mobility, is believed to have been forcibly taken from her home.
Despite ransom notes sent to media outlets, there has been no direct contact with either Guthrie's family or authorities from the presumed captors. Blood traces found on Guthrie's porch, confirmed to be hers, underline the urgency of the search as her family appeals for help, hoping she remains alive.
