4,000 Students Break World Record with CPR Relay
Over 4,000 students from a private school achieved a Guinness World Record by performing CPR on 2,000 mannequins in a single event. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest and demonstrate the importance of CPR in saving lives. Guinness representatives verified the records.

In a groundbreaking event, more than 4,000 students from a local private school have entered the Guinness World Records by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on mannequins. The event aimed to highlight the significance of this life-saving emergency procedure.
A total of 4,317 participants practiced CPR on 2,000 mannequins, setting records for the highest number of people participating in a CPR relay and the largest number of dummies used simultaneously. Previously, the record stood at 3,319 participants in Bengaluru in 2024, whereas the record for mannequins used was 278 in England in 2000.
The initiative was organized to address the increasing cases of sudden cardiac arrest, especially among the youth. CPR is known to significantly improve survival rates in such emergencies. A Guinness World Records team was on-site to confirm the new records.
