Brunei Champions AI-Driven Cardiovascular Health Revolution

In a landmark announcement at the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos, Novartis Foundation, the Ministry of Health of Brunei Darussalam, and EVYD Technology launched a groundbreaking AI-driven cardiovascular initiative: CARDIO4Cities. This alliance aims to leverage data and AI to enhance national health platforms and improve cardiovascular disease outcomes in Brunei.

The project was spotlighted during the session 'Innovating for Social Impact at Scale Through Partnerships and Artificial Intelligence,' featuring discussions on digital health innovation, led by notable figures including Mrs. Gong Yingying of Yidu Tech and Mr. Marnix van Ginneken of the Philips Foundation. The program sets out to overhaul Brunei's public health system with proactive health predictions and integrated governance.

Brunei's initiative is part of a broader effort to combat global cardiovascular diseases, which remain leading causes of death worldwide. With CARDIO4Cities, Brunei is pioneering a model for scalable, AI-enabled disease prevention that could transform health systems globally, offering new hope for reducing disease burden and enhancing public wellbeing.
