Swing for PINK: Golf Meets Health for Breast Cancer Awareness

In a novel approach to increasing breast cancer awareness, Fortis Hospital in Manesar hosted 'Swing for PINK', an event that fused sports with healthcare advocacy. Collaborating with BirdiesConnect, the initiative aimed to spotlight the significance of awareness and collective action in women's health.

The event gathered women golfers, health professionals, and wellness advocates, featuring a workshop led by Dr. Mansi Chowhan. Participants explored 'Thermalytix', a state-of-the-art, AI-powered, radiation-free thermal imaging tool, showcasing non-invasive screening methods for early detection of breast abnormalities.

Mahipal Singh Bhanot of Fortis stressed the event’s role in creating an engaging environment for women's wellness. Over the next two months, the hospital will conduct 500 free mammograms in Gurugram, expanding their impact beyond hospital walls. Dr. Alka Singh emphasized the importance of regular screenings for prevention and early detection of breast cancer.
