A tragic incident has unfolded in Tehri district as a young woman died following childbirth at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Pilkhi. This marks the second such occurrence at this facility in less than two months.
Raveena Kathayat, a 22-year-old resident of Gram Panchayat Sem Basar, successfully delivered a baby at PHC Pilkhi after being admitted with labor pain. However, the joy turned into tragedy when her condition deteriorated and she died during subsequent treatment.
The woman's husband has accused the staff of negligence, citing the lack of timely medical intervention. Hospital authorities contend that an undisclosed heart condition may have contributed to the fatal outcome, prompting calls for a deeper investigation.
