The Karnataka government is taking significant steps to make organ transplantation both affordable and accessible, as announced by Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil. Speaking on Friday, Patil highlighted ongoing efforts to provide advanced medical services at reduced costs.
While inaugurating the 2025 induction program for MBBS and Allied Health Science students at the Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, he reaffirmed the state's commitment to health advancements. These efforts include a new 10-storey facility dedicated to organ transplantation in Bengaluru.
The minister also stressed the importance of empathy in medicine, encouraging new medical students to treat patients with both skill and compassion. Under the Congress government, increased funding for the Department of Medical Education aims to propel Karnataka towards a healthier future.
