Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy has reported a substantial increase in profits, as its consolidated net profit trebled to Rs 141.59 crore for the March quarter compared to Rs 55.01 crore last year, according to a regulatory filing. Despite the lower total income at Rs 1,998.54 crore from Rs 2,506.45 crore, strategic cost management led to reduced expenses of Rs 1,844.43 crore.

The financial figures are a marked turnaround from 2025-26 when the company incurred a loss of Rs 295.79 crore, contrasting with the previous year's net profit of Rs 85.55 crore. The fiscal year's total income reached Rs 7,751.72 crore, up from Rs 6,341.46 crore, reflecting a robust performance.

SWREL's Global CEO, Chandra Kishore Thakur, emphasized the strong footing with a record Rs 11,813 crore order book and a substantial 13.5 GW operations and maintenance platform. The company's expansion into wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects is expected to play a vital role in its future growth trajectory.
