The Rudraprayag police administration has announced a strategic traffic management scheme for the upcoming Kedarnath Yatra, focusing on ensuring smooth transit for devotees. Officials have reinforced traffic arrangements along major highways and link roads to handle the anticipated pilgrimage rush.
Adequate police personnel will be stationed at crucial locations to manage vehicular movement and prevent congestion, aiming for a disciplined flow of traffic throughout the yatra route. In addition, the administration has developed parking facilities to ease vehicular pressure, with both permanent and temporary options available.
Rudraprayag Superintendent of Police, Niharika Tomar, shared that the traffic system has been divided into 2 super zones and 11 sectors, supported by 13 mobile force teams for real-time management. The district's strategic division helps in monitoring and swiftly addressing any traffic challenges, ultimately ensuring a safe and well-coordinated pilgrimage experience for devotees.
