Pope Leo arrived in Angola on his Africa tour, aiming to spotlight the persistent exploitation of the nation's vast natural resources. His Angola visit, part of a tour through four countries, emphasized resilience amidst adversity.

Despite recent tensions with U.S. President Donald Trump, Leo sought to focus on Angola's significant poverty issues, caused by years of mismanagement and conflict. Before departing Cameroon, the first U.S. pope celebrated a farewell Mass, urging hope in Yaounde.

In Angola, Leo is scheduled to meet President João Lourenço. The pope's forceful stance against global issues such as inequality and conflict marks a new chapter in his papacy, resonating with the millions he addressed in Africa.
